Brussels sprouts are usually prepared boiled in salted water and accompanied, partly due to their light sweet taste, meats, smoked, cold cuts, etc. The most common method to prepare them is simply making a crossed couple of incisions with a shaped knife at the base of the peduncle and then remove, or peel, the surface leaves.
